Beyonce backs Women's March on Washington

Published By Tribute on Jan 19, 2017

beyonceBeyoncé has added her name to the long list of stars in support of Women's March on Washington.

The "Formation" singer endorsed the event via Facebook, posting a promotional photo and adding a few sentiments of her own with a caption. She wrote, "Together with Chime for Change, we raise our voices as mothers, as artists, and as activists. As #GlobalCitizens, we can make our voices heard and turn awareness into meaningful action and positive change. #WomensMarch."

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21, will take place in Washington and in various locations around the world. Hundreds of thousands of women are expected to gather in protest of Donald Trump's inauguration (set for Friday, Jan. 20) and inequality at large.

On the event's Mission & Vision page, the following is stated: "We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country."

The "Single Ladies" Grammy winner is one of many in support of the event. Others, who may in fact attend it themselves, include Cher, Katy Perry, America Ferrera, Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Wilde, Debra Messing, Chelsea Handler and Amy Schumer.

I'm totally Ok with expressing opinions and beliefs, but I believe that this women's march is just a large advertisement for diabolical feminism. We need real women marching on Washington showing support for our leaders. Let's go Trump.

Shame on you beyonce (non-capital letter used purposely!) & co! Just because you are not getting enough in the bedroom, is not the reason to try & boycott rightfully elected! Where were you, when incompetent & inept obama (non-capital letter used purposely!) was elected? the muslim-suddenly-turned-catholic, that managed to degrade the #1 country in the world almost to rubble, sending US economy straight to hell!? Get it through your tiny brains: when the coran-thumpers will take power, they will not spare you - you will be first in their lists of infidels to do away with. Mark my words.

Good for Beyoncé! This march is essential to show Trump and his supporters that women will fight for their rights despite Trump wanting to eradicate them.

Sorry - but a lot of these same women who pretend to be all about women's rights, are the ones who benefit off the ability to manipulate men through stimulating their little heads, through provocative clothing & lewd actions on stage or in films/tv. If she wants to help women out- give a concert, and onate all of the proceeds to a womens' shelter, or scholarship fund for disadvantaged women & girls. Waving your fat booty in a see through outfit, doesn't seem to be using your brain for anything beyond manipulation of the weaker sex ( who think with their little heads) What hypocrits. Same with Miley Cyrus, Madonna and the rest of these silly fake feminists.

I'm with you, Olivia and Julie. Some of the things said in this comments section are scary and outrageous. People need to oppose Trump and let him know he can't get away with being a sexist, misogynistic, racist and homophobic tyrant.

Obama was a miserable failure as a President....THAT is fact. Donald Trump is an unknown at this time and I, for one, sincerely hope he does a bang up job. People like beyonce and her thug of a husband were the ONLY blacks I saw Obama hang out with. He was not interested in the families living in dire poverty or the people living on the streets because of lack of opportunity, lack of any hope whatsoever so beyonce and her bunch of brainless actors, singers and various other 'hangers on' can shove their approval where the sun don't shine. She has never experienced a lack of power or hurt (except from her whoremongering husband) from Donald Trump and he shows NO signs of eradicating ANYONE'S power apart from people who wish harm on the U.S. U.S.'Celebrities' are hating the fact that no one gives a rat's ass about their opinion. They are all but ONE vote, meaningless in the grand scheme of things. No more hanging out with Obama, no more dinners at the White House...they are back to irrelevant status.

Sorry - but it is hard to take this airhead seriously. What rights has she been missing out on? And what does her slutty stage persona really stand for - seems like she sends the message to girls out there that in order to be successful, you have to prance around nearly naked, exploiting your sexuality, and marry an ugly rich ape who can help your career. Sorry, but this is so silly. WHy isn't she condemning Sharia law, and the BLM people who are using the race card to act out their violent, theiving tendencies?
