Padmaavat (Hindi)
Padmaavat recounts the tale of Rani Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) — the legendary Mewar Queen known as much for her beauty and intelligence as she was for her courage. She marries Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor) — a glorious Rajput ruler and a warrior king in a beautiful ceremony.
The two are very much in love and their lives are idyllic until Sultan Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) — the second ruler of the Khilji dynasty — develops an obsessive love for Queen Padmavati and leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit of her.
