The best Christmas gift was the three Charlie's Angles barbie style dolls I got from my grandma in 1977 or 1978. I had them open for maybe an hour when my younger sister who was about three wanted to "see" them my parents said share and she ripped the heads off the dolls. The heads wouldn't go back on, dad had to cement them back on.

When I went in their room, there, in front of the dresser, was a Baby Alive, stroller, high chair, crib, clothes, everything! I had been in my parent's bedroom when I got up and that stuff was not there. 'Santa' being who he is and with all his magic, had somehow gotten everything in there while I was busy opening presents, but I do not remember either my mom or dad leaving the room and my brother was just a baby. My Dad told me that Santa must have forgotten to leave it and, when he saw that we were already up, he left it upstairs instead. I certainly believed that story for many years. I still get chills when I think about it.

I've received many wonderful and thoughtful gifts over the years. Can't say I could pick just one. Now this may sound a little corny to some and a deliberate attempt to gain empathy to win a prize, however, I've accumulated many lovely things and I appreciate those things very much but nothing can replace the gift of love and support from my parents. They didn't always agree with my choices but I followed my heart and passions and they were always there to support me both financially and emotionally when things haven't gone as planned. I have endured more than a decade of pain from a form of neuropathy and at 61 I don't know where I'd be now without them. At 85 and 87 years of age, they are my rock and my greatest gift. Love you both and Merry Christmas!!!
