The most difficult person to shop for WAS my husband, and he was SUCH a good gift giver! So the bar was just so much higher, you know? My efforts were always really lame in comparison. He turned out to NOT be a great husband after all though, in spite of his great gift giving. So we split up, and now I don't have to give him gifts anymore, yay!

To be totally honest, there is no one I can say is difficult to buy gifts for. I would say that the difficulty is not having money to buy food and pay rent in Toronto; as a disabled person. We are invisible. We haven't had any meaningful assistance from the government. It's actually shameful. Look into it if you are curious. A single person in Ontario lives off an ANNUAL allowance of $14,000.00. Let that sink in. I worked all my life and paid taxes. I am not alone. So no presents. No tree. No turkey dinner. That's the reality and plight of the disabled right across Canada. But I find ways to find happiness in small things. I'm not dwelling on the negative (although it sounds like I am). Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year. Soon we will once again be able to hug our loved ones.
