Resolutions always have to do with eating healthier or cooking more family meals, but j honestly try not to make them .

  135. DARLENE D. • 12/14/2017 11:05:25 AM

My best and most successful resolution was to STOP MAKING RESOLUTIONS AND TO LIVE EACH DAY TO THE FULLEST, and I've been happier since doing this :) HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

My most successful New Year's resolution is that I have to start taking care of me. I'm a mother of 4 and a wife. I got tired of putting my hair in a ponytail everyday and comfortable pants. And I have been taking care of me

  145. Kathyrn Krakenberg • 12/14/2017 11:09:06 AM

Well my most successful was three things one year I was going to quit smoking, quit biting my nails and lose weight. Well I quit smoking and now have awesome nails and lost sixty pounds that year. It’s been over 20 years and I’m still good on two of those things. My biggest failure since has been gaining back the weight. I say every year I’m going to do it and thus far have failed and the damdest thing is they bring friends back each time. Weight loss is my goal yet again this year

  146. jay nelson • 12/14/2017 11:09:39 AM

Last year I decided to reduce my simple sugars and this was achieved! At Halloween I had 1.5 chip bags and nothing more. If I really want something (like the baking I do with the kids) I will totally enjoy it and not restrict myself, it is about reducing and not eliminating. Thank you.

  147. Mayala King • 12/14/2017 11:10:03 AM

I have yet to stick to a New Years resolution. This year my resolution is to be better to myself. I need to practice better self care so that I can be the best mother for my sweet daughter. Depression has really brought me down this year and I became very closed in. 2018 will be the year I break out of this shell and hopefully get back out into the real world with less anxiety and a lot more happiness.

  148. Pam Corkum • 12/14/2017 11:10:17 AM

Biggest fail...gaining 10 lbs instead of losing!!

  149. Deb LeFaivre • 12/14/2017 11:10:24 AM

I don't make resolutions anymore because they all become fails.

Congratulations to all above who have resolved to quit smoking and accomplished this. Please let me know how you did this. I guess I am afraid of failure so in the past I have thought about making resolutions but have never committed. I am truly looking forward to starting a New Year with a New Me. Best wishes to all for a safe and happy Holiday Season

  155. Nicole Fleming • 12/14/2017 11:13:17 AM

Eating healthier which was the ultimate fail lol

  156. Gloria lai • 12/14/2017 11:14:04 AM

Not eating past 8pm! I simply did that and my sleep improved and the weight just made it easier to lose eapecially after giving birth to a baby.

  157. Robert Hatfield • 12/14/2017 11:14:24 AM

Most epic fail saying thisll be the year im down to working one job been working 2 for 25 years over 70 hours a week hopefully this coming year is the one but life so expensive

  158. James Slattery • 12/14/2017 11:14:41 AM

My best New Years resolution was to read more books after spending so much time on the internet! I find it relaxing and inspirational to read stories of triumph over adversity (whether real or fictional). I also joined a book club that's lots of fun!

  159. Gail Butler • 12/14/2017 11:14:51 AM

My most successful resolution was not gaining any weight!

  160. Rosanne Del Corpo • 12/14/2017 11:15:15 AM

My most successful resolution was to give up junk food & eat healthier meals - which I did for a good 10 months - slowly but surely I couldn't resist & start up again however in moderation - so you can say I was successful & then started to fail a little at a time - now if I can only keep the one about losing weight going for that amount of time i'll be back to my ideal weight when I got married. Thanks for the chance

Be more Grateful, and teach others to see the same!

  168. Carolyn Belair • 12/14/2017 11:17:39 AM

My most successful New Years resolution was dumping my crappy boyfriend (did that NYE and it was the best decision I ever made) and my most disastrous fail was quitting smoking. I quit for 3 days then the ex kept harassing me and wouldn't leave me alone.....so I blame him for the added stress and me still smoking!! hahahaha! I will try again this year.

  169. Monique Chesterfield • 12/14/2017 11:17:50 AM

My fail is I keep promising myself to start prepping early for all holidays! Yet I still end up running around last minute trying to accomplish everything and feeling down, due to my expectations!

  172. Holly Stengel • 12/14/2017 11:18:59 AM

My most successful resolution was purposefully and deliberately making time to thank anyone I came into contact with for a whole year. Showing my gratitude was so often appreciated in today’s hustle and bustle world, people would stop and smile. I built a new habit that so richly rewarded me in making other’s feel good if only for a smile and knowing someone noticed and cared.

  173. CAROL HINTHER • 12/14/2017 11:19:00 AM

My most memorable New Years resolution was when I was in grade 7. I decided I would not be bullied any more. I stood up to a bully who challenged me to a fight. Boy did I take a beating....however, everyone who was standing in the circle around us suddenly took my side. The fight ended, and although I took the worst of it. I CAME OUT THE WINNER - I WAS NO LONGER BULLIED BY ANYONE! I am in my 70's and have not been bullied since.

  174. Pam noakes • 12/14/2017 11:20:02 AM

  205. Darlene Fisher • 12/14/2017 11:40:45 AM

My most successful resolution was the year I stopped making one or two big resolutions that I always failed to keep. Instead I made a list of goals for each year; take an exercise class, learn pilates, cook a new recipe once a week, read a new book once a month, go for a walk at least three times a week, donate X dollars to charity, learn a new skill, volunteer, etc. Once I made a list of reasonable goals, I was much more likely to accomplish them and feel successful!

I made a resolution to get a book I wrote put online and I did it and I also copyrighted a song I wrote once but it is difficult to be on track unless you make it a priority because everyday life can sidetrack you and at the end of the day, you realize that you have done a lot of other things but not the goal you have set for yourself.

Finally the wish came true only I ended up losing the weight because I got sick and so here I am 75 pounds lighter but not healthy. Go figure... happy and then sad all at the same time.

Truth be told, I don't usually make New Years Resolutions. Usually have ongoing long term goals, like quitting smoking. Am currently down to less than 5 a day so am giving myself a little "high five" even though this isn't quite what your contest asks for...lol!

  257. Susie Q • 12/14/2017 12:03:39 PM

To get back in shape. This past year has been terrible as my Dad passed away in Sept., my Mother-In-Law passed away in Oct. and my boss who was like my Father for the past 33 years passed away in Nov. right around the time of my birthday so it's been very sad and my energy for excercise, etc. has been terrible. Looking forward to a happy and healthy 2018. Thank you Tribute!

  258. Elain Cooper • 12/14/2017 12:04:06 PM

My most disastrous New Years was when my now oldest daughter was just 6. We had a house full of people. We were just cracking open the champagne to toast New Years and starting the count down. While my daughter played with a friend's daughter She fell and split her chin open. I put ice on it. Watched the ball drop and put her in the car and spent the rest of the night at the children's hospital waiting for the doctor to arrive and suture her chin. After all that they glued it and sent us home at 6:30 in the morning. My best friend stayed at my house and watched my other children and entertained my guests. What a night!

Our most successful New Years Resolution was last year when my son had been fighting an unknown illness for 9 years. We determined that 2017 was the year of letting wellness in our front door and slamming the back door on illness. We were fierce in our determination. And here we are well! Thanks to many health professionals and as I said blind determination to be the wellness!

Biggest fail: DIETING! Why do i torture myself with thinking that I can stay on a diet right after New Year's??? I have decided that this year, I am what I am, and as long as my doctor says I'm okay, then I'm okay.

  384. Nancy Brown-Schembri • 12/14/2017 12:57:20 PM

Looks like some great products. My fail is that I never make New Year’s resolutions. Or maybe that’s a win!

  385. chrissy young • 12/14/2017 12:57:26 PM

Every year I resolve to wear Mascara every day ... every year I fail :( Could be worse!

  386. Carol Jones • 12/14/2017 12:57:32 PM

Sometimes the success of these New Years resolutions lies in the trying because most are doomed to fail. At least any/all of mine have such as losing weight, I did quit smoking though-23 years though not at New Years, dismissing other habits like always attracting bad men etc. For me the success was in the trying because even though many of mine failed: I know that the issue either was made better in the trying or it succeeded at some other time

  387. Doreen Foong • 12/14/2017 12:57:37 PM

My most successful resolution was and still is using the law of attraction in getting what I want and regain back my true positive thinking self and be at peace. I declutter my life - emotionally, physically, spiritually and psychologically by cutting ties from the bunch of negative, mean, nasty, critical, judgemental, disrespectful parents, friends and people who were in my life. I kicked them out of my head space too, raised the rent (i.e. setting boundaries and standards) and only invite positive, kind, generous, wonderful, smart people into my life. It has been a huge relief and I am happy, peaceful, positive, productive, more creative in writing my anti-racism and anti-bullying book series and yes, the kind of people that I want to be friends with or know are coming into my life and my husband's life.

  388. Anna C. • 12/14/2017 12:57:41 PM

I stopped doing New Year's Resolutions because every year I would have quit smoking ( did not happen every year ) only lasted one hour after getting up New Year's Day before I was searching for a cigarette. I am trying to quit once more, using patches but still smoking 5-6 a day.

My resolution last year was to drop 15 lbs of bad weight, and work hard to put on an equal amount of strong lean muscle. I started strong and failed miserably, putting an extra 8 lbs of "how'd I suddenly get so lazy" weight.

  508. Sam • 12/14/2017 1:56:05 PM

Both are the same, losing weight and ive had it be successful but then again theres many years of not being able to lose weight!

  509. Deborah Ann Andriuk • 12/14/2017 1:57:04 PM

I have done research regarding moral, emotional, and spiritual growth, journeys. I've done a lot of soul searching, including my own regarding the many journeys(incarnations) we've had. Sometimes we start to realize we are strangers unto ourselves, as we are to each other, until we are awoken to the fact that we are truly connected to the universe, and not separate. When the ego self (false self) starts to align itself to the highest self (true self). "Oneness" "The great, I am"

  510. Martin Diane • 12/14/2017 1:57:08 PM

I don’t make New Years resolutions as I never ever keep them. Too much good food for a diet, too much good wine to stop drinking it.

  511. Anna Kroupina • 12/14/2017 1:58:16 PM

My most successful new year's resolution was getting in shape! I completely changed my eating habits, did "cuts" of several weeks at a time, went to the gym 5 to 6 times a week and now feel absolutely great! And the best part is not only that I'm in shape, but I'm healthy and I'm strong! Now... on to 2018 resolutions!

  512. Lisa Bourgeault • 12/14/2017 1:58:20 PM

  514. Sherri Meuris • 12/14/2017 1:59:27 PM

My most successful resolution wasn't intended to be for me. I noticed lots of friends with depression-related memes on their profiles, that talked about how available they were for people...but I'd been suffering in silence for months, and not one of those people had ever reached out or been available. I decided that every year before the holidays set in, I'd personally reach out to every person on my friend list with a simple message that I was thinking of them and something personal and kind. (For friends I'm not close with, still commented on something in a picture or something in their profile that they like). I did it to connect with others so they'd feel like they matter and aren't invisible. It did that...and it helped me too. So for everyone...happy holidays, and may the new year treat you kindly. <3

I found that meditating did help me along with some other non prescription actions and my resolution was to work on that until my blood pressure was reduced and it did and is still. I love these gifts you have and would give most of them away for Christmas and some birthdays. We have many birthdays in the first part of the year. Thanks for the great contest :)

My New Years resolution is to meet a special man to settle down with. Well, I was supposed to meet just such a man who I found on a dating sight. We talked a number of times on the phone and told eachother that if all went well we would spend New Years together. We arranged a meeting. I called him to confirm the next day and was told by a family member that he had died late the night before from a massive heart attack. So that New Years was a sad one for sure, thinking about the wonderful man that 'might have been the one' and feeling so very sorry for those that he left behind.

I found the home 🏡 of my dreams....safe, with a fenced yard for my dog and an amazing landlord: who allowed me the gift of a new kitten. I live in the country again; where I have always wanted to return to. After being homeless and leaving yet another unhealthy relationship... I am at peace, living my dream life with my fur babies, on a horse ranch in a cabin in the woods. I have a wonderful family; new Grandbabies and parents and friends who I am so thankful for. I am the luckiest girl in the world... Happy Holidays to all☃️🎄☃️

  627. Dianna Connell • 12/14/2017 3:01:12 PM

My most successful accomplished tradition this year was to try being more humble and kind and think I’ve done that . .letting people with less go in front of me in grocery line ups I’ve done it every time I go in he last year.. .thats the one big thing I’ve done and kept to it all year. Might not seem like much to others but it’s a great feeling to see how thankful people are.

I'm hoping that this New Year's resolution will be my best. I've been in quite a slump over the past few years. Really depressed, health issues, my mom has cancer (in remission). This past month has been bad. Our 12 year old dog died and we almost lost my daughters puppy to a bad accident, which ended up costing quite a lot at the emergency vets to have the surgery that saved him. My feeling is that it can only get better, I hope? Whether I win this or not, thanks for offering this and Merry Christmas.

  1167. Chalen Myles-Albert • 12/17/2017 12:03:16 AM

For more years than i could count my most disastrous New Year's Resolution was to lose weight! First bit of the new year was okay but after i gave up. I finally realized it's better to not pick a date and stress about it until it comes, just start small and on a day you feel good about yourself and most important do it for yourself and you may have more luck!

My most successfull one was to eat better! I wasn't perfect with my eating, but, my goal wasn't to be perfect, it was to just be a lot, lot better than what I was eating before. I knew that if I expected perfection, it wouldn't work (nobody's perfect), so I aimed to just improve, and do the best I could, and it worked. Thank you for the chance!

my most successful Christmas is finding my sister after a quarter century and learning I was a uncle. It was a Christmas miracle as my daughter had sent a letter to Santa and there must been some magic in there as we found each other in a food court shopping. Losing my partner a few months ago due to cancer and having this miracle was emotional reunion.
