After its record-setting seven victories at the Golden Globes, it's no surprise that La La Land is up for the most awards at the BAFTAs. Damien Chazelle's musical with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone scored 11 nominations, including Best Film and honors for the three aforementioned individuals.
But tied for a surprise second place are Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi film Arrival and Tom Ford's noir drama Nocturnal Animals, both with Amy Adams. The two pictures picked up nine nominations each.
Kenneth Lonergan's Manchester by the Sea with Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams found itself in third position after snagging six nods.
