Charlie Hunnam would consider playing James Bond

Published By Tribute on May 15, 2017

These days it feels like almost everyone wants to be James Bond. Rumors surrounding who will be the next British super spy have started to circulate, and it seems like all the actors in the U.K. want a piece of the action.

So far, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston and Henry Cavill have all made their case to play 007. We can now add Charlie Hunnam to the growing list of actors vying for the role.

The Sons of Anarchy star was on the late night talk show Conan, promoting his newest film, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, when the host asked him about rumors that he might play Bond.

Charlie responded with: “I can say two things. I’m English and I look devilishly handsome in a suit. I can say three things… and nobody has called me about playing James Bond, so I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen.”

When Conan joked that he's being considered for the role himself, Charlie came back with: “If you decide not to do it, you can just throw your ol’ pal Charlie’s name in the hat.”

It has not yet been reported whether Daniel Craig, who has played the character in the past four Bond films will return to the series. However, it's rumored that the actor is under contract for one more appearance.

It's cause Charlie needs a hit or he will likely fade to nothing or supporting roles.

Will have to see the movie King Arthur first to see if he's even worthy of having his name put forth.
