Faizon LoveFirst One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, now Faizon Love -- it hasn't been a smooth start to the month for celebrities in airports.

Faizon, a 48-year-old actor and comedian best known for his role in the festive Will Ferrell film Elf, has been arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge in Ohio after an alleged altercation.

Page Six reports that the incident took place Tuesday (March 7) at John Glenn Columbus International Airport and involved Faizon and a 24-year-old male valet. Authorities say Faizon and the valet were arguing before the actor escalated the situation by assaulting the smaller man in the baggage claim area.

It's said that Faizon "grabbed the man behind the neck and threw him to the floor and into a desk, then pushed him down when he tried to get up."

Even after the physical element of the altercation ended, Faizon reportedly provoked the valet with his words, saying, "Let me show you what a man do."

TMZ's story on the incident says the dispute was sparked over how much the valet was charging Faizon. The outlet adds that Faizon was released from police custody Wednesday morning (March 8) before his arraignment on $2,000 bond.

He had traveled to Columbus for a comedy gig next week.

For those who need a refresher, Faizon played a store's toy department manager in Jon Favreau's Elf, which co-starred James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Zooey Deschanel, Ed Asner and Peter Dinklage.

No excuse whatsoever. He needs some anger management and more...

Jeez, he could have really hurt that little guy. He's lucky that guy wasn't seriously hurt.

Unacceptable! No matter what the valet said, Faizon shouldn't have reacted that way. Disgusting behavior.

I don't think that a little bit of shoving is anything to press charges over. Did the guy suffer permanent injury, or even a concussion, for that matter? The answer is NO. He got up and everybody is okay. Fighting solves a lot of problems and can be a good way to purge violent anger and aggression from time to time. I hope that Faizon recovers from all the bad publicity that this will surely bring. No fair at all. Just because someone is a rich hollywood actor, doesn't mean they should have to pay more for valet. smh
