Gunshots fired at Denise Richards and husband's car

Denise Richards and Aaron Phyhers photo: @deniserichards on instagram. While Denise Richards was riding in a car driven by her husband Aaron Phypers on Monday morning, an angry driver fired a shot at their truck.

The man was apparently irate because Aaron was having a difficult time finding the studio where Denise is filming a role in the movie Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace.

The other driver was allegedly shouting while trying to squeeze in front of them. When Aaron allowed the driver to pass, the man took a shot at their truck, hitting the back end on the driver's side.

Miraculously, no one was injured, but Denise was upset and sobbing when she arrived at the studio. She managed to get control of her emotions and worked a 12-hour day on set, ironically playing the role of a weapons expert, while Aaron remained with her the entire time.

TMZ obtained a photo of the shot in the back end of their gray Shelby truck, seen at right.

At the end of the day, an-off duty policeman escorted Denise and Aaron back to the freeway, with no further incidents. ~Alexandra Heilbron

If he would have drove the truck properly it probably wouldn't have happened now would it.

Looks like a Ford - can not trust a writer that does not get the facts.

To the person who placed a comment above but didn't put his/her name -- Are you honestly supporting the idiot who shot a gun at them. First, they weren't driving improperly. They were looking for an address and probably not driving fast enough for the idiot behind. Second, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DOES A PERSON HAVE THE RIGHT TO FIRE A GUN AT SOMEONE DRIVING. The impatient nut could have killed Denise or her husband. And you support this action. You're just as bad as the nut job who shot the gun. And your a coward hiding behind a "no name" comment.

To the person (used loosely) they should have been driving properly he must have been the person who fired the shot. Its crazy when angry hurt people want to hurt other people.

I want to assume the "no name" person is trying to be funny. But honestly, she has like 3 kids and they could have been left father or mother-less or orphans. Think about it. Seriously, that is gun culture right there. Get frustrated with someone, let's whip out the gun and fire a shot at them. That sure taught him for not knowing where he was going for the first time. Good to see everyone is relatively ok (likely emotionally scarred for life though!)
