Harvey Weinstein to turn himself inAlmost eight months after The New York Times published an exposé in which a number of actresses accused movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, he is surrendering to police.

It was reported this afternoon by several media outlets that he will turn himself into New York City police to face criminal charges brought by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office in cases ranging from molestation to rape.

More than 85 women have accused him of sexual misconduct, including Ashley Judd, whose initial report to The New York Times initiated the inquiry into the disgraced mogul's conduct.

Many more women came forward, often with similar stories of being confronted by a nude Weinstein in a hotel room after being asked to show up for a business meeting.

Actresses had their careers threatened if they didn't cooperate and keep quiet about Weinstein's demands, including Mira Sorvino and Rosanna Arquette.

His employees at his former companies, Miramax and The Weinstein Company, also had similar stories about his inappropriate conduct.

The exact charges Weinstein will be facing have not been released to the media, and his attorney, Benjamin Brafman, has declined comment.

However, Weinstein faces charges not only in New York, but in Los Angeles, London and Toronto.

Updates will follow as soon as they are available. ~Alexandra Heilbron

May 25 update: Weinstein turned himself in early this morning, carrying books. After being charged with first-degree and third-degree rape and first-degree criminal sex act, he spent 30 minutes in a jail cell, during which time he read from one of the books -- Elia Kazan: A Biography. He then appeared before a judge at 9:25 a.m., and was released 10 minutes later on $1 million bail. As part of his bail, Weinstein agreed to wear an electronic monitoring device and to remain within New York and Connecticut.

So... he is a prime example of why we “normal” Americans should NOT pay attention to political views of anyone in Hollywood. Most of them live in fake worlds where they think they are the center of them, can do any atrocity and immoral act, and pretend to be judge and jury of anyone they disagree with. Let’s hope today’s youth get this message!

I am so proud of every single woman that speaks up about ANY so called man harassing, threatening , bribing, or scaring any woman in any way to get what the male wants . It’s no surprise that the male gender gets through life using their penis as their guideline ..... that’s your problem guys.... but when you have to prey on women instead of grabbing your c**k with your own two hands and fixing your uncontrollable issues yourself this is what happens . As the whole world now sees most of you for what your worth, your days if the mans world , brotherhood and all the other STUPID little clubs you make up are over . You pigs are now seen for what you really are. As for you Hollywood pigs I’ve noticed that it’s the really ugly men like ole Harvey and Freeman that probably had a hard time getting laid growing up because they are very ugly. These are just two examples of arrogant pieces of shit in dictatorship roles taking advantage of and flexing their scrotums because they think they have power and are better than everyone else. It’s funny we don’t see men sexually abusing men isn’t it? That's because if they tried this on someone like themselves they would get the shit kissed outta them severely so they made women targets and in turn are teaching the other sac carriers to do the same thing. Well I’m so happy more of you well known POS will be rotting in your jail cell and getting it up YOUR asses ... karmas a bitch This is happening in EVERY neighbourhood in this world thanks to arrogant men that stroll around scratching their balls looking for somewhere to happen Let me know if you like chips or peanuts 🤣

1 million dollars bail. Isn't that like $1000 to the average folks? How does someone with 85 complaints against them ranging from molestation to rape even get bail this low? Just doesn't seem right.
