One new movie landed in the top five this weekend, with two re-releases and of course, Tenet, which has become the only movie to cross the $50 million mark since lockdown. Check out what was popular at this weekend's box office. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Honest Thief starring Liam Neeson as a bank robber who wants to put the past behind him took over the top spot at the box office, earning $3.7 million. It opened in limited release last weekend and now has a total take of $4.2 million.

Last weekend's top movie, The War with Grandpa starring Robert De Niro and Oakes Fegley, dropped a spot to second. It earned an additional $2.5 million for a two-week take of $7.3 million.

Tenet dropped to third place, amassing another $1.6 million for a seven-week total of $50.6 million.

The re-release of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas was a welcome diversion for movie fans looking to get into the Halloween spirit. It enjoyed a weekend take of $1.3 million.

Rounding out the top five was another Halloween-themed re-release, the 1993 Disney comedy film Hocus Pocus starring Bette Midler, which earned an additional $0.76 million for a three-week total of $3.8 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron
