We loved this movie. Made you proud to be an American. Showed the hard times in 1936 and how lucky we are today. Great acting and great script.

I read the book and was not disappointed in the movie. It is an incredible story and an amazing movie. I plan to see it again tomorrow!
I loved this inspiring true story! I found this movie to be encouraging and did not assault my ears or soul with abusive foul language, a plus! The acting was wonderful, while I did not recognize any names of the actors it was refreshing for new faces and talents to display their talent. I would pay to watch it again!
This was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time! It was genuine, wholesome, and inspirational! I loved the entire movie!!! ??
Just a good movie - exciting - full of pride and friendship of people working together
Saw this movie and it was great. Based on a true story, that demonstrated inner strength, self discipline and ,determination. It brought back American Pride!!
I went to the movie not knowing much about it. I think Clooney will get Best Director! All aspects of the movie were amazing; Art Direction, Production Design, Set Design, Acting, Costumes, all transport you to the period! It was exciting from scene to scene. I loved where Hitler left his seat when he realized Germany was losing.
This movie is based on a true story. It shows true struggles that these men went through and overcame. It's a feel good movie, I loved it!
A great movie! Action packed, no offensive language, or having to watch bloody killings, etc. Enjoyed it greatly!
I'll just say this: If there's Anything 'Classic' about Hollywood, it's George Clooney. (No, not related!) He just KNOWS what makes a Great movie. Start with a Great Story....... We could Use more of THIS....more of Him.....in directionless, uninspired HollyWas. To the guy who thought this was a 'stupid movie' and 'phony'......I think you're prob. more of a Marvel/CGI -kinda guy. Right? Different, original and Well Made! I LOVED IT! TELLING ALL. Now wanna read the book!
I really enjoyed reading the book and was happy to see that it was adapted into a movie. Although the movie had to focus on only one of the team members, it was done exceptionally well. In fact, my wife and I were so impressed that we experienced a first-time occurrence - the audience applauded after the movie ended! 'Boys in the Boat' is an outstanding movie, and I would definitely recommend it. Bravo!
Fantastic job Mr Clooney, thank you. I wish we had more young people like that TODAY
Those on here that “dislike “ this amazing story….ask yourself WHAT have YOU accomplished in your petty little lives…??
Fantastic job Mr Clooney, thank you. I wish we had more young people like that TODAY
Stupid movie. Hate these phoney movies.
Too Disney. I read the book a while back and the best part was the description of Joe's story before he got to university; this was barely touched on. Oh, well
Great movie, really enjoyed it.
Intellegent... Well directed (hats off to George Clooney). No phony curse words added, no peeing in a urinal, no added sex (because every movie has to degrade a film with it, whether it fits or not) no fake stagged dialog dribble... Just an incredible story, well told and beautifully filmed... What a breath of fresh air...
I knew the ending And I know what it takes to make an Olympic Team. Anyone who does not like the Olympics let alone appreciate the struggle to get there, is not someone who understands integrity of trying, courage to admit defeat and character to overcome adversity. This movie has it all. Fresh new talent to replace the usual suspects and not one "crash and burn" moment, which makes delicious visuals on the big screen but cannot sum up one moment of the kindness, strength of character and determination of the original Boys in the Boat. Hats off to George Clooney, who did not encourage one minute of overacting and captured the beauty of the sport of rowing and the unbelievable beauty of the journey these men took. Congrats to all associated with the film. You should be proud of the work you did.
Take a box of tissues along. This is one of those worn out unlikely-team-pulls-off-a-last-second-miracle movies. Usually it's about football or baseball or basketball. Rowing is a refreshing difference. The water scenery is stunning. The acting is good. Callum Turner as Joe Rantz is a dream. Use of the piano song to motivate the sad, quiet guy was a nice touch. It could have used more of his music. Overall it's a good way to spend an afternoon.
Good acting well done! Enjoyed the story felt the pressure of the competition TRUE STORY.
I loved it
A feel good movie even tho we knew the outcome.
Good movie! Good acting! Good scenery! Good food! Good seat! Good bye! ;)
Good back story, good acting. I'm not a rowing fan, but it held my attention.
Plot line very predictable
An excellent movie!!!!
Loved this movie and loved the cast. They were all so good, it would be impossible to pick any one out to say they were amazing, because they all were. Love the scene where they have the shy guy play piano. I have a feeling he has an incredible back story, similar to that of Joe Rantz, not just because we see him in the first scene trying to get work, just like Joe.
Excellent portrayal of demanding and difficult team sport, requiring self-submission to the greater goal. Highly recommend the film; must now read the book.
I just did not like it much. The Olympics don’t impress me.
Even though I don’t usually like the “rah, rah America is the best” type of movie, I actually really enjoyed this one. With all the crap going on in the world, what’s not to like about a movie that is uplifting.
Saw this on early release. Very good film but what you expect when showing something historical. Liked it.
I loved it from start to finish! Silently cheering them on knowing the outcome when movie began.
Silly feel good movie. I felt a pain in my head.
I found this to be a terrific movie. Just a simple story taken place during a difficult time in our history. These young men came out of nowhere and competed against the best rowers in the world. If you are looking for an uplifting, enjoyable movie, go and see "Boys in the Boat"
Loved it. What a story. A true underdog story from the hard times of the 30s.
Expertly crafted and a wonderful story.
The book was awesome...and this did it justice!
Kept me in suspense
