Tarantino makes a kung-fu movie! Better than i could have ever hoped for. This is one of the coolest movies ever made and solidifies Quentin`s place as a film visionary.A fantastical orgy of violence, when i wasn`t laughing hysterically i was shaking my head in wonder.
Kill Bill is one of the best action movie i every sow
Kill Bill is simply the best movie in 2003, one of the best ever...
The Worst Movie I Have Ever Seen,I Don`t Under Stand Why This Movie Was Even Made,Don`t Waste Your Money On It, You`ll Be Regreting It For Your Whole Life.
A brilliant masterpiece. There isn`t much else to say except that Tarantino is a genius and Uma Thurman proves shes one of the best actresses working today
Put your reality filter aside and sit back for a rolicking good movie. Campy, violent and overdone, yes, but visually enervating and Tarantino`s sense of timing is exquisite. Thurman an Liu are the perfect enemies. The fight scene in the Japanese disco was a masterpiece of excess surpassed only by the sublime Thurman vs. Liu fight scene that follows. Can`t wait fo Volume II.
sounds exciting and very good story line!
i think this movie is very unique, i love the way he mixes cartoon with reality...the sound effects, the costumes...they were all amazing. I can`t wait to see the second movie
Kill Bill is thee greatest movie. Taraintino is the greatest director.
Classic
WICKED GORRY SCENES ***** STARS
Quentin does `Tribute` movies. This one is based on the Oriental/Kung Fu/Samauri movies of the 70`s (Uma`s clothing when she is in Japan, is even a tribute to Bruce Lee). I also get a kick of the choice of music he used for his movies...you have to think, but the music fits the scene and it`s sometimes a comedy.
BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!! Tarentino you are a brilliant man! im totally excited to see volume 2!!!
it was amazingy funny 5 stars
It was like watching the national ballet of Canada do Kung Fu. The cheorgraphy was really good. Overdid the blood spurting out of chopped off arms though. Should have edited the movie down to one volume. Feels awful long for a movie with no plot (so far).
It was a bloodbath designed to appeal to the lowest common demoninator of society. No plot, not character development, no point. A movie should not be considered good based on how many gallons of fake blood it uses.
Quentin is a god. He has a style and an edge like no other director. Watching this movie was like a religious experience. At times I was jumping up and down in my seat at the creative and artistic way he does old things in new ways. I was mesmerized, even more so than with Jackie Brown. I just wish the movie could have the same emotional impact on a second viewing - JB didn`t. I wonder if any movies ever do?
this is an amazing movie. tarantino is an absolute genuis. SEE THIS MOVIE. you wont be able to take your eyes off it.
sometimes, you just want to get your money back...truly one of the worst films of the year
Awsome!! Please people this is a really good movie.. and Uma... Baaaby! Exciting from start to finish, Kill Bill Vol 2 in Feb, it should have come out a little sooner, but thats marketing i guess.
Violent, perhaps a little gratuitous. Very good acting, editing & script. Not for many viewers. If blood and violence bothers you, skip this, at least until it comes out in DVD so you can FF ahead.
1st Japanisation movie for the Maga`s lover
Quentin Tarantino is a very THOROUGH man. Enough said.
OMG that was soooo incredible!!!!like im speechless..EVERYONE should see this movie...cant wait for feb!!:) counting down the dayss...
good movie, reminds of earlier tarantino work in Natural Born Killers (writer). The animation stuff was great, you could NEVER pull that off with real actors.
WOW! Gotta see Kill Bill Vol. 2!!!
Classic Tarantino! Excess Blood! But it is a cult movie and well done!
The only thing wrong with this movie is they only showed us half of it. Kill Bill: Volume 2 will not be a sequel... it is the second half of a 3 hour film that we already paid to see when we saw Volume 1. Miramax should have forced Tarantino to cut the film down to 2 hours not split the film into 2 parts. That said, KBV1 had more fun and style than both Matrix sequels put together so I will see KBV2.
I really didn`t like this movie. I am a huge fan of Tarantino, but this was rediculas. The whole film was like a giant pop culture melting pot, I mean he took stuff from everywhere. I understand what he was goin` for but it really didn`t work. The film just didn`t flow at all and had no rhythm, quite frankly it`s nothing compared to Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs. Too much cheeze, not enough substance. Big disappointment. Could it be possible that the one person who has instilled life into the independant film industry at the turn of the century has finally sold out? I think so.
Has the potential to become a good series but doesn`t stand well on it`s own. I wish I would have waited for the second and third parts to hit the theatre and watched them all at once.
Absoluty amazing thrilling from beginning to end. Amazing action. It stood out in a category of its own. Funny and amazing scenes simply a MUST SEE AMAZING MOVIE
i really like this movie. I liked it better than Matrix revolutions
Movie of the Year!
For useless and needless violence, Kill Bill V1 is the perfect movie. With a simple story line and Asian inspired action, it is purely a treat for Tarintino crazed fans. Uma Thurman at first seemed awkward for the role but played it out well.
Why did all you people enjoy this movie? The acting was sub-par, the plot was just mindless and I have no idea what any of you saw in this movie. The biggest waste of money I had ever spent.
...once again, Quentin Tarantino establishes himself as the reigning genius of cinema with this masterpiece of revenge. The action was incredible and the music was RIGHTEOUS! I was saddened that the movie ended and I have to wait for Volume II to come out. I could have EASILY watched the whole thing as one movie...let us hope that there will be a DVD version with the two together as one. What will be the fifth Tarantino movie? Who knows...but I will be there regardless. bigman
I thought it was great. It`s really a matter of taste though, and the only advice one can give also happens to be the worst: If it`s your kind of thing, you`ll like it. See it either way, it`s a learning experience.
Quentin, so glad to have you back.
it was everything it wanted to be--- Its not that there is too much blood-- its the fact that the blood is not the point--- already in my top three all time- thank you Q.T.-- that was a joint well enjoyed
Great Acting... too much blood, can`t wait for volume 2.. go see it, it`s worth the $12.50
