I thought this was a truly wicked movie, sick as hell and left me wanting more. Defently worth a watch, and not for the weak minded. Original and smart, keeps you guessing till the last scene.

They could have chosen better actors. I was not impressed with the actors--the two lead characters were more like just reading the lines.

From the growing discovery of who Jigsaw is, to the realization that Jigzaw does not know what the actor knows after Jigsaw tells him what he tells him, to building creshshendo of the music, to the actor`s realization of what his plight is....the ending is fantastic. I watched the ending 10 times.

The worst and sickest movie I`ve seen since Seven, just as predictable and clearly made for people with no own opinion or brain. The idea and plot are stolen from the Cube and Seven, only with even more holes in it. Nothing in this movie was a surprise or even remotely scary, just sick.

It was alright. A bit freaky and disturbing at times but for worth watching. The acting wasnt that good and it became really distracting considering the fact that the characters were put in live or die situations, yet the actors couldnt pull it off. Se7en was more disturbing, because it was more realistic and gruesome. The best part of the film is that it kept you guessing all the way till the end..

Wow. Haven`t seen a movie this scary with a decent storyline for a long time! After just watching The grudge, I expected this to have no plot whatsoever. I was so surprised! Had a "seven" feel with a great ending. I was scared out of my mind. A very underrated movie in my opinion, I guess I don`t remember this movie to get much hype. Very scary and thrilling!

The only thing that would have made the movie better, I think, is more gore. I say show the razor wire, show the gut digging, show the sawing. Aside from that, I don`t see much room for improvement.

can you say "unperdictable!" wow! thsi was the best horror movie in a long time! theres like 3 twists at the end and some people dident like the ending but i thought it was very well done! it was a satesphying conclusion. a must see for scary movie fans and even if your not, ud find smart ideas in this film, very nice

The movie was full of twists and in-depth realistic situations. It will probably invoke more people like the sadistic man to come forward, but it also teaches people to value their life. Though he should not play God, i thought that the movie couldn`t have been much better. i hope there`s a "SAW: 2".

I just watched the movie, was VERY good. Very deep, great story/setup, was completely unpredictable. Wasn`t necessarily scary, was simply intense and dramatic. Scary would be The Grudge movie. Only downside was the acting of the doctor wasn`t all that convincing, atleast certainly not during the first half. The ending, I never would have guessed it, but I wish it would have ended a bit more cheerful!!!

I have no idea how anyone could hate this movie. It was very well written and had a very good story. I recommend it to horror lovers anywhere. For the people who said it was lame have no taste in horror movies go watch a love story would ya.

ok. saw was amazing but u can`t compare it to se7en. se7en was a hollywood movie ans saw is an indepentant film. that what i have to say about that. now saw was so cool it will be ify if the wan`t to make a saw2. just cause 2nd movies always suck. so to the film makers don`t make a sequel if the story dones`t blow the first out of the sky. choose to live or die?

Excellent movie for this genre. Only recent comparable movie I can think of is Seven. Jaw dropping ending. Those who don`t like this movie are probably not horror flick aficionados to begin with, because this is one of the best horror flicks you will see.

The movie was very well written and had qiute a lot of twist and turns throughout the entire production. I have seen many horror films in the past and I feel that this movie was excentric and contained many scenes, in which you didn`nt know what was going to happen next. This was a definite 5 star movie.

I`ve just watched Saw on the UK DVD release. Very well written, acted and filmed - and a decent twist ! Highly recommended viewing. Lets hope to see more from this Director.

I think the ending left me a bit inconclusive. I wanted to know what happened to everyone. It makes you pick your own ending. Personally i think there will be a second one just because the story was left too open.
