Ben Affleck is sick of being asked about Batman

ben-affleckYou've been warned: Stop asking Ben Affleck about Batman!

In a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star said the constant Batman questions are a "pain in the ass," especially because they overshadow his current project, Live by Night.

"Oh my God, it’s such a pain in the ass," Ben said in the clip posted to Twitter. "It’s, like, every time I mention Batman it gets this huge click bait. And when I was doing this movie [Live by Night], it took me two years to get it together, but no one ever asked me 'Where is Live by Night?'"

He continued, "They ask me, 'Batman, Batman, Batman.' Batman is coming along. It’s going to be great. We're going to make something really special. We’re going to take the time to make it right. We’re going to do it good. We’re going to do it the right way and the fans are going to love it."

It's clearly a sore spot for the actor, because he basically said the exact same thing during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week.

"I’m gonna direct the next Batman. We’re working on it," he revealed to host Jimmy, but then groused, "It’s one of those things that’s really frustrating because, like with Live by Night, it took me a year and a half to write it and get it ready and I worked really hard. It’s just nobody gave a sh*t. No one was like 'Where’s Live by Night!? But with Batman, I keep getting the, like, ‘Where’s the f***ing Batman?!’ and I’m, like, ‘Bro, I’m workin,' give me a second!"

Speaking of Live by Night, it follows an outlaw during Prohibition-era America who finds himself in deep trouble after double-crossing a dangerous mob boss. It's currently playing across North America. ~Shelby Morton

Well at least Ben is being asked questions about his career and projects. He just has to be grateful and not complain as it looks bad when actors complain, and they have such priviledged lives, etc. Nobody asking about Live by Night as the era and the attention to the gangster life has been done on Boardwalk Empire so incredibly well, and was on with great actors and production values, for several years. Bonnie and Clyde and Bugsy maybe 20 or 30 years ago, and the Sting more recently, have all visited the era with great performances and big success. Even Tom Hanks and Jude Law in one of Paul Newman's last performances did an amazing job in that dark movie Redemption Road or something? The interest in the era might be a little waning. Oh yeah Brooklyn. Gangs of New York. It might be overexposed. Lets see how it does at the Box office. Personally I love the guy and The Town was such a jewel, awesomely crafted and acted..Im not so excited about seeing more gangsters shooting each other Ill be honest. Thats just me. Sky

Live by Night looks like trash (funny, because Ben's not looking too hot these days either).

Celebs pick a few topics/anecdotes to stick to while on press tours, and I guess this is what he's chosen. This and his bro who shall not be named.
