Selena Gomez cancels remainder of tour to deal with lupus

Selena GomezPop star Selena Gomez has cancelled the remaining shows of her Revival tour to deal with symptoms of lupus.

Nearly a year ago, the 24-year-old singer was diagnosed with lupus, which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the internal organs.

According to a statement released by the "Hands to Myself" singer, she is suffering from side effects of the disease, including "anxiety, panic attacks and depression."

In statement to People, she said, "Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."

Since her statement was released, Selena's fans have showered her with support and kindness, and are sending well wishes using the trending hashtags #GetWellSoonSelena and #WeAreHereForYouSelena.
