47% liked this movie? Okay that's pretty bad, but if I had known, I wouldn't have gone. It turns out Rotten Tomatoes, review has been deleting negative reviews to preserve it's inflated score of the movie, and this site as well is deleting unfavorable comments.

Coogler should stick to five minute infomercials. This was boring. Bosewick almost kills the audience with boredom. The dialogue takes up more the 95% of the two and half hour movie. Imagine My Dinner with Andre, and a fight scene with a neighbor randomly thrown in. This movie is dumbing down the populace.

The lack of chemistry between Boseman and Jordan won’t confuse anyone with that of the charisma of the Redford/Newman tandem. Or even of Watson and Crick.

Fantastic story, outstanding directing and acting, and this movie was just plain fun. But it's impossible to read the Black Panther ratings here on this site without noticing what appears to be one person giving multiple one-star ratings. Rest assured, whoever you are, 'Black Panther' will live on as a ground-breaking movie, but you will continue in your own personal oblivion.

It wasn’t bad overall but because of all the hype, I was expecting it to be so much better. I wish they would have brought in the Avengers, even if just at the very end, to tie them all together. That would have been impressive

We now have directors stealing other directors "styles.' Ryan Coogler can't decide if he wants to be Jon Favreau, George Tillman Jr. Michael Mann, James Cameron, or Quentin Tarantino, so he decides to be ALL FIVE at once! At least when Tarantino and Rodriguez team up for movies their styles are distinctive. Now we have to put up with trans-hybrid directing. No wonder the editors can't splice and cut enough to create a coherent story anymore.

Remember when Jackass3D was Number 1 at the box office? that didn't necessarily indicate stupidity of the masses! It just meant that some of you like seeing stupid people doing stupid stuff for no reason whatsoever. At least Jackass 3D blatantly advertises its stupidity. On the other hand this billed itself as "groundbreaking." If you take yourself seriously then you have to expect the audience, or some of it, will as well. We did, we judged, we graded.

I guess the "current" strategy was to promote the hell out of it on TV, internet and movie trailers in the hopes that enough morons, myself included, go to see it before the word gets out. It was mesmerizing.....kind of like my ear hair. Don’t tell me you aren’t staring!

While watching this I was thinking about flipping the channel on the circa 1967 black and white Zenith TV that my dad bought, sit at arm’s length and manually change it ( that's right kids, we used our muscles in those days ) until the selector is pointed to one of the desired five stations, adjust the wabbit ears, and enjoy another "My Mother the Car" episode re-run.

unexpected pleasure. The twists and turns ie expected role play and the shifts from expected to unexpected made this movie fun. It's a family movie, based on the many young kids in attendance. I believe BP will begin a new genre of 'black' movies to African movies. In my mind, this is BPs importance and probably why it's grossing >$B. It actually brought me back to "The gods must be crazy". No comparison, but both are fun to watch.

It wasn't done well. I expected much more, something along the lines of the stellar performance of the Joker in Batman but most of the descriptions of this were exaggerated.
